Located in Cincinnati, Ohio, we are a small kennel devoted to quality AKC beagles. We breed our beagles for what we like: great looks, friendly personalities, and outstanding hunting ability. Our beagles make wonderful dual purpose dogs, so whether you are looking for a hunting companion, family pet, or both, you have come to the right spot!
About Our Beagles
Our beagles have a history of making terrific pets and are great with kids and animals alike! We socialize them from an early age (with lots of help from our nieces and nephew), and keep our litters together until the puppies are at least 8 weeks of age.
All of our beagles are 13" and typically weigh less than 25 pounds. With nice, solid conformation and good square heads, our dogs typically produce traditional tri-color pups (although there may be an occasional tan & white or lemon & white pup). You can expect our puppies to grow-up into hard hunting, medium speed, bawl mouth or squall mouth hounds who can really work their way into a brush pile or thicket!
At Ohmer's Westside Beagles, we put a lot of time and effort into being a knowledgeable, responsible, and caring breeding operation. We typically breed 1-2 litters a year and our bitches are bred no more than 3-4 times in their lifetime. All of our dogs come with a certificate of health and are guaranteed to be free of serious genetic diseases. Having personally been through the heartache of losing a wonderful house pet and hunting companion due to uncontrollable epileptic seizures, we have made tough breeding choices to ensure that no one who purchases a puppy from us will have go through the same experience that we did. To back this up, we also offer a lifetime guarantee against epilepsy.
